MICHAEL SULLIVAN
Prior to starting MS&A, Mr. Sullivan practiced workers’ compensation defense in Los Angeles, handling a full caseload of workers’ compensation litigation resulting in a 95% trial victory rate. In 2011, Mr. Sullivan published “Sullivan on Comp,” a 12-volume comprehensive, objective treatise on California workers’ compensation law. Mr. Sullivan regularly conducts seminars and webinars, and co-authors white papers on significant topics in workers’ comp law. Recent publications include “An Analysis of the New Regulations Regarding Disputes Over Medical-Legal Expense and Medical Treatment,” and “Special Report: SB 863 Five Years Later.” He also speaks regularly at professional conferences including the California Coalition on Workers’ Compensation, the Association of Insurance Professionals and the Public Agency Risk Managers Association.

BARTHOLOMEW SULLIVAN II
Mr. Sullivan is a bar-certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law. He represents insurance carriers, self-insured employers and public entities in all aspects of workers’ compensation, appearing at Workers' Compensation Appeals Boards (WCABs) throughout Southern California. Mr. Sullivan has a wealth of experience litigating workers’ compensation cases, including conducting depositions of applicants, attending hearings, resolving cases via negotiated settlements, preparing briefs and petitions, conducting trials and obtaining findings and awards.

AFSHA RANDERA
Ms. Randera has expertise in temporary residence and employment visas for professionals, extraordinary ability workers, entertainers and athletes in the H-1B, E-3, O and P visa categories. She worked on requests for evidence and waiver applications, and solved complex issues at U.S. consular posts. She also handled family-based immigration matters.

Mr. Log is also co-author of “Sullivan on Comp,” a 16-chapter objective analysis of California workers’ compensation law. Mr. Log prepares seminar material and co-authors white papers on significant topics in workers’ comp law, including “An Analysis of the New Regulations Regarding Disputes Over Medical-Legal Expense and Medical Treatment,” “Special Report: A First Look at SB 863,” about the 2012 legislation’s wide-ranging changes to the state’s workers’ compensation system, and “SB 863: Five Years Later.”

LISA AGUIAR
Ms. Aguiar has experience handling wage-and-hour disputes, claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and violations of the ADA. She has worked on hundreds of cases in both federal and state court, resolving countless cases through mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Ms. Aguiar is also a certified business coach, and assists her clients in employment-mandated training as well as workshops to develop the leadership and communication skills of managers and executives.
